Our DJs work for you!
Before we go further, we want to make sure that our belief for "what a DJ should be" is understood by all of our clients. At Score The Floor, we know that with any private event (especially weddings), we get one chance to make a great impression. Our quality of service will keep us working. So, our DJs know and service clients based on the knowledge that it is NEVER about the DJ. It is always about the client. Our DJs do not engage in microphone chatter or test out their latest joke. Less is more! We provide MC services as needed for introductions and announcements. If you are looking for cheesy performance or a DJ that likes to hear themself talk over a microphone, then we are not the company for you.
Is Equipment Important?
Another common trait of the typical DJ is the misunderstanding that what they bring (their equipment) is more important than what MC service they provide. This is most obvious when visiting their web site. Flashy pictures of their CD Players, laptop computers, speakers, light shows, microphones, mixers, amplifiers, or our favorite ...cheesy pictures of themselves "talking" into their mics while their light show sparkles in the background. Did your caterer show you photos of their pots & pans? Did your photographer show their collection of lenses? When you see photos like these being emphasized over the rare talents and skills that our DJ's regularly provide, you can be sure you are dealing with a typical DJ.
